We’re Excited for the 2026–2027 School Year!

We are excited for school to begin on August 24! Here are a few things to help make your high school experience a little more positive, successful, and enjoyable.

Don’t forget—Open House is August 20 from 4:30–6:30 p.m.! Grades 9, 10, 11 & 12.

Parent/Student Meetings will be held in the Auditorium:

Seniors: 5:00 p.m.

Freshmen: 6:00 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to get important information and get ready for the new school year.

This is a reminder that staff returns on Wednesday, August 19. Our workday will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday will be dedicated to Vector training, with a short Welcome Back meeting at 9:00 a.m.

Thursday’s workday will be adjusted to 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. to accommodate our Open House from 4:30–6:30 p.m.

Just a reminder that we are still working on the floors, so some rooms may not be finished yet. We appreciate your patience as we work to get everything ready for the new school year.

PPHS Open House & Orientation

Point Pleasant High School will host Open House/Orientation on Thursday, August 20, for Freshmen and Seniors.
Informational meetings will be held in the auditorium:
Seniors: 5:00 p.m.
Freshmen: 6:00 p.m.

During these sessions, important information will be shared regarding graduation requirements, timelines, scholarships, academic expectations, and other important school information. Students and parents will have the opportunity to meet teachers and staff, tour the school, and purchase student parking passes.

The evening will conclude with Meet the Team at 7:00 p.m. at the Ohio Valley Bank Track and Field, where we will recognize our student-athletes and kick off the new school year. We look forward to welcoming our students and families as we begin another great year at Point Pleasant High School!

If your taking a High School Honors class or Dual Credit class, you need to check with your teacher for your Summer Assignment.

Also, Grade Cards will be sent home this Friday, June 5th.

Students riding the pep bus tomorrow need to have a permission form filled out. If you cannot print the form, you may send a note with parent permission, cell phone number, medical consent in case of emergency, and statement stating that your child has permission to ride the bus to the game. All students that ride the bus must return on the bus. Only students that signed up in the office today will be permitted on the bus.
