With cold and flu season upon us, it is important to know when it is okay to send your child to school and when you should keep them home. This is the protocol our county nurses follow and if your child is actively sick, they should be kept at home until they are fever free for 24 hours. In addition, if your child is suffering from diarrhea or vomiting, please do not send them back until they are better for at least 24 hours. Make sure to send an excuse within 2 days when your child comes back to school. If you see a doctor, always try to get a doctor's note for the absence. These are general guidelines, if you want more detailed guidance see your health care provider.
