Parental Consents were handed out during PRIDE today for the Career Academy. They are due back by Monday, March 24th as well as the student signing up for 3 career choices, they want to learn most about. Over 60 career choices. One student from our school will walk away with a Nintendo Switch; One student from our school will walk away with a Drone;; One student from our school will walk away with a set of Airpods. There will be a police cruiser; Boyd CAT machinery; large equipment simulator and AEP lineman's truck to name a few special items.

On April 30th we will be taking a field trip to the Chas Coliseum where the GU Career Academy will be held. This is only for 9th and 10th graders. 3 Hannan students will win either air pods; a drone; or a Nintendo Switch Students choose 3 careers they are most interested in and learn all about it. Free SAT Boot Camp to help improve testing skills. A lot of teachers are offering extra credit if they attend. Check with your teachers. 9th to 11th graders 8 am to 11 am in the cafeteria. 10th and 12th graders Noon to 3 pm in the cafeteria. Sign up sheet is in the office.

Free Graduation Party for Seniors at Krodel Park on June 2, 2025. Each graduating student can invite up to 8 people. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served. If you don't have a senior picture, you can have a free senior picture completed. Or you can have a free family picture. There will be music and a splash pad. During PRIDE today, permission slips were handed out for the Marshall Campus Tour. Permission slips are due back in the office by March 14th. This is for 9th - 12th grades only. Students will eat lunch at the Harless Dining Hall; learn about admissions; housing, etc. They will also tour the campus; library; classroom, etc..

Attn Seniors and Senior Parents/Guardians. We would like to do a photo slideshow of the graduating seniors during graduation ceremony. So please submit baby / toddler; middle school and senior photos to millicent.kimble@k12.wv.us so we can create a slide presentation. MARCH MADNESS starts today. We are having an attendance contest between the grades. Attendance must be at 95% in order to qualify for the celebration that will take place the last day before spring break, April 17th. The higher your grades' attendance rate the more celebrations you will receive.
