OUR FIRST SENIOR SPOTLIGHT!!!! So proud of you Rachel!
Hannan High is SO proud of Dakota Saunders and Emma Deal who graduated from Hannan High' and continues to represent Hannan 's FFA Chapter. Both entered the Agricultual Proficiency Awards. Dakota won 1st Place at the State Level for Agricultural Sales (Entrepreneurship) and Emma won 1st Place at the State Level for Small Animal Care and Production. Now they will compete against other state proficiency winners for a chance to win a National Proficiency Award. Way to go Dakota and Emma! Thank you for representing Hannan High so well. We are proud of both of you!

I was a t a webinar today and saw this, so I wanted to pass it on to the parents/guardians of college bound students.
There is no school for students on Friday, April 18th but staff will be at HHS. Food bags will be available for pick up at the school. If you know a family in need, please come to the school on the 18th and pick up as much food as needed for spring break. Available 8 am to noon.
Don't miss out! Prom tickets will be sold through April 17th. $25 per person. If your guest is not an 11th or 12th grader or does not attend this school; a guest form IS REQUIRED!. Guest forms are due to the office no later than April 17th in person and via email or fax on April 18th. Prom will be May 3rd in Point Pleasant in the BOE annex room . -Line up 6:00pm; -Promenade 6:30pm; -Dinner 7:00pm; -Crowning 9:00pm; -Ends 10:00pm.
Senior Spotlight. We want to do a senior spotlight of our seniors on social media. We will have a photo of the senior, their name and a short description of their post graduation goal or plan. These will be on the school's website; Facebook page and our smartboard at the end of the hall at school. We will feature one senior per day. If your student does not have a signed media consent on file, we will be reaching out to you to sign it, otherwise, we cannot spotlight feature them. We are very proud of our seniors so we want to show them off!

The Governor's School of Tourism deadline is this Thursday, April 10th. This is the opportunity for 9th and 10th graders!
Students will have the opportunity to tour WV and learn all about tourism and hospitality. Students will stay at State Park Lodges and visit landmarks all across Almost Heaven. See attachment to fill out the application and see the qualifications.

Della Gibson placed first in the 400 meter dash AND she PR'd at 1:08:48

Exciting opportunity for 9th and 10th graders! The Governor's School of Tourism will run June 20-29th. Think about what WV has to offer? White water rafting; fishing; wildlife; skiing; snow tubing; four wheeling; kayaking, hiking, etc are all careers in tourism. On May 12th, Pleasant Valley Hospital will be here to provide sports/marching band physicals for next year. The cost is $10 and all proceeds are donated back to the school! So, this is a great way to help raise funds for our school and getting those sports physicals completed for the 2025/2026 school year! Check mark that off your to do list and you don't have to scramble around in the fall trying to find a place to have it completed.
Interested in becoming a Color Guard member? Color Guard is a way to express and show colors off of your flag! A Color Guard meeting will be held on April 14th at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria after school. Come out to the meeting and express your true colors!
